How to Help

Together We Can Make an Impact

BFHNIN relies on the generosity of our community to support vulnerable families here in Ballantyne. You can help by:

Donating

Every dollar makes a difference, supporting families in need through seasonal food giving events and keeping our food pantry stocked

Signing up to help

Volunteer in our food pantry or provide encouraging notes and other items during our seasonal giving events.

Spread the Word

Food & Hygiene Pantry

Help us get the word out that we have a pantry. We can’t help people if they don’t know that the pantry exists. The pantry is for all families who work or attend one of the 11 public schools in the Ballantyne Area.

Meal Kits

We have added several easy-to-prepare meal kits to the pantry that contain the ingredients needed to complete a family meal to the pantry. The goal is to help reduce stress for families facing food insecurity by making meal preparation simple, affordable, and accessible.

These kits create meaningful opportunities for our community to serve together and support others. To participate, community groups would be asked to purchase meal kit ingredients, host a volunteer packing event, assemble the meal kits, and deliver them to the pantry. Volunteers of all ages can participate.

If you or your group are interested in providing meal kits in the future, please contact Heather Fray at HeatherFray@ballantynefamilies.org
