Food Assistance for Families in Need
Our Mission
We provide food assistance to families who attend or work in one of the 11 Ballantyne area public schools through seasonal giving events and a food pantry. Our mission is to bring people together – to inspire generosity, build lasting connections, and empower the community to care for one another with dignity, compassion, and love.
Our Impact in the Community

Recent Event
Summer Giving Event
We met 100% of our fundraising goal for the Summer Food Support campaign! This made it possible to provide food assistance to 109 local families over the summer – which is the largest number of families helped in our six-year history.
Each family received grocery gifts cards based on the size of their family, plus encouraging notes written by the community and a helpful Resource Guide.
Donations came from individuals, families, and corporate partners – each playing an important role in helping us reach our largest goal to date. Thank you to Novant Health – Ballantyne, Brighthouse Financial, Sundt Foundation, and Speedway Children’s Charities for their gifts, which provided a significant boost to our fundraising efforts.

What's Next?
Fall Snack Drive
One of the first initiatives of the school year will be our second annual Snack Drive, where we collect snacks to stock counselors’ offices for hungry students during the school day. Stay tuned for more information after summer break!
