Our Mission
We provide food assistance to families who attend or work in one of the 12 Ballantyne area public schools through seasonal giving events and a food pantry. Our mission is to bring people together – to inspire generosity, build lasting connections, and empower the community to care for one another with dignity, compassion, and love.

Recent Event
September Snack Drive
Our Ballantyne community came through in a big way during our September Snack Drive! 8,460 individual snacks were donated through our Amazon Wish List, with even more donated directly to participating schools.
The snacks help stock school counselors’ offices, where they can be discreetly provided to students who arrive at school hungry or need something to eat during the day.
Thank you to everyone who donated, delivered snacks and helped spread the word. Your generosity is helping BFHNIN ensure local students have the nourishment and support they need to learn and thrive.
What's Next?
Thanksgiving and Holiday Giving Event
We will kick off a campaign on October 19 to support over 125 families who will face food insecurity over Thanksgiving and the Winter Holiday break. We will provide bags of food and/or gift cards to help families purchase groceries while school is out.
For many local students, school meals provide a consistent and reliable source of nutrition. When school closes for Thanksgiving and Winter Break, that important safety net disappears. Families are identified by counselors and social workers at 12 Ballantyne-area public schools. School staff coordinate directly with families to ensure they receive groceries and gift cards confidentially and with dignity.
